I've searched previous threads and haven't found any that deal with the situation I have. I installed a new battery last winter and about a month ago had a new alternator put in. Every time I run my car past 5000 rpms the battery light comes on. Anybody have a clue what would cause this?

It's the wrong sized pulley that came on the new alt. Happens quite frequently, Kirk and I have probably seen it a dozen or so times now. Since your car probably doesn't spend a lot of time above 5K, I'd recommend just living with it since getting to the alt & pulley are a real PITA.
