I don't know about the MTX but i just bought new battery cables for my '95 ATX from Ford. And it is not just two simple cables. It is an entire assembly with 5-6 cables coming out of it..going to the alt..and several other different grounds on the engine...not just a simple cable.

Speaking for a Gen 1...they are very long and when you could buy them they were very expensive. It has been discontinued by Ford for the Gen 1, not sure about Gen 2s. If the terminals are bad you can cut those off and replace it new one from any parts store.

Dunno the lenght of the +cable but it is pretty long. If you go to dealer to replace it they will sell you the +/- cable as a unit for over $100.

If you think about replacing the +cable try rockauto.com. They sell them seperate for about $20.00 each.(They actualy sell you the same cable for the pos. and neg. cable.
