What the heck. While looking at my engine today I noticed new shiny spots on the intake manifold. This time on the right side (driver side) of the engine. Two of them are next to the throttle body, and part of the TB itself is being polished. I also have 3 nice groove holes in the hood padding, nowhere else on it but above the throttle body. Anyone know which engine mount is bad now?

The torque limiters seem tight but there must be slack somwhere. It will move about an inch forward, and thats supposedly reasonable according to Ford. What do I do now? Go back to stock mounts? Argh frown

Look throught the driver side wheelwell (with the wheeel removed) at the transmission mount. You will probably find the rubber torn.

When I checked mine I couldn't see that it was torn because it tor where it laminates to the metal it self. Use a jack with a block of wood underneath the tranny and lift up on the motor a bit. That way you can see if it pulls apart. When you look in the fender at the tranny mount.
