Yankee Traveler

Good morning people...
My name is Yankee Traveler. It is the CB handle of my fathers from back in the '70's. He died in '81, so he's not using it anymore.
That said, I am not a Yankee fan. I am from just north of Boston (Many years ago) so I hate the Yankees.
I am a Health and Safety Manager for a very large worldwide design/construction/operations & maintenance firm. After 25 years of traveling the country on the construction side I was able to make the jump to O & M and settle in Middle TN so my kids could grow up in one place.
I enjoy working on cars, NFL Sundays, BBQ as a verb and noun, hiking and running.
I lied about the last. I do not live to run, I run to live, Because I love BBQ and fresh seafood and pie and...you get the point
So I FINALLY picked up a new SHO. An '18, Ruby Red with Performance Pack, Moonroof and Nav.
This is my second SHO, my first was a 1993 Silver 5 speed. Great car.
What I like about my new SHO;
Smooth. Smooth power, smooth ride, smooth transmission, smooth window operation etc...
Power. It only has 1k miles so I haven't had it past maybe 4,000 rpm and not more than 1/2 throttle. But man, this thing has got some sack. I had the opportunity to drive an Infinity Q50 Twin Turbo V6 (3.0) and a Hemi Charger while on vacation a few weeks ago and neither of the comes close to the combination of smoothness and power that the SHO has. Can't wait to get a few more miles on it and really start opening it up.
Seats. Man these are the most comfortable seats I have ever sat in. The bottom cushion could be a little longer but overall they are awesome.
Looks. Tough muscle car stance, Ruby Red, no flash. a perfect sleeper. I need to tint the windows and debadge the trunk lid.
Voice recognition is spot on.
Key pad on the door. Nuff said.
What I do not like;
Gauge cluster. Prefer a bigger tach plain and simple.
Sync 3 is...meh. To many sub menu items should be easier to access. Admittedly, I still need to spend more time in the owners manual.
Air vents. The AC vent on the center dash either blow on my first row of knuckles or on my second row of knuckles. Whoever designed these air vents needs to be brought out back and flogged repeatedly behind the eat with the antennae from a 1971 Buick.
Back up camera is nothing but snow at night. This will be my first visit to the stealership I'm guessing.
Cup holders suck. Two water bottles or one coffee cup.
Other cars in the fleet?
Yep, wife drives a Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. Her second one. Loves the Hemi power. Her last was the Summit which she loved, she thought she liked the Overland which is one step down, but after owning it for a month she is disappointed she did not re-up for the Summit.
I also have a 2001 Ford Explorer 5.0 AWD which we bought new. 220k on it now and it will remain my dirty work, foul weather vehicle as well as my son's "learn how to drive" truck. It has been unstoppable so far.
And finally a 1982 Mercury Capri 5.0 4 spd with 72k miles that is in a barn in VT. I will retrieve soon and start reconditioning as my Sunday car. I have owned this car since 1984.
So, that's me.
