Automatic Climate Control Question

i have recently changed my climate control unit to the newer model with the buttons that dont push in, the unit works fine, but when i go to vent the air at 60 degrees, when its 50 outside the air still comes in very hot. my a/c needs a recharge but i know thats not the problem, what do i do?

ummm is there a special way to press those buttons......its not working, i have the newer climate control

Just push OFF and FLOOR at the same time, then push the AUTO button. Don't hold all three in at the same time. The display should turn off while the unit runs the tests. Should be pretty simple.

I think to only ones that will work are the ones from Continentals, Taurus/Sables, and maybe (I stress maybe) older Mark 8s. I know Crown Vics/Grand Marques/Town Cars won't work (they have a different blower motor controller and different buttons) and the Explorer does not have the "OUTSIDE TEMP" button, it has a "REAR FAN OFF" button. I have not checked to see if it will function otherwise (I have one at home and will check it).

hey thanks it worked....now i got the number 02 which is a blend door problem right?.....what part do i replace to fix or replace and how much will it cost?
