Auto windshield wipers

Ok, help me out here. I've only had my SHO for two days. I can not get the auto windshield wipers to turn off! I turn the **** all the way towards me (off, in every other car) but it just keeps going. It's irritating, to say the least. Do I have a problem, or am I just dense??

Well, that's what I was thinking, but I'd like to keep the feature active. The car is clean and I haven't noticed anything around the sensor area. It has been rainy, here, but I want to be able to turn them off when I want. I went through a brushless car wash and they wouldn't stop!

Yeah, something's wrong. Both my 2013 and my 2016 turn completely off.

With the auto wipers enabled you should still be able to turn them off. The **** should have an off setting and then the intervals are setting the sensitivity. Are you saying that when you put it in the off position they're still on? Or are you saying when you put them in the lowest sensitivity setting they're going all the time?

My 2013 displayed this exact behavior some months ago. The multifunction switch had failed was the cause.

Good potential it is the control switch. They have to replace the entire assembly........of course.

sounds like there is moisture on the sensor so that the computer thinks it is raining.

Yes, I'm convinced it's the switch. I turn it all the way to the off position and they keep going. A trip to the service house is in my future.
