ATX Rebuild underway - Anchor mounts Q and more

cWell, got the ATX pulled (finally) and toted into my basement for teardown. Boy is the wife going to love THAT in the basement when she gets home tomorrow! That bolt just below the oil pressure switch is a real ***** to get at...

Found the front motor mount is going and the transmission mount is GONE. Rockauto lists the Anchors as replacements and I'm looking to see if anyone has actually used them. I'm welll aware of the reinforced mount options and don't need input on them. Specifically, if you've got immediate knowledge of the Anchors, I'd appreciate hearing about it. Front # 2697 and transmission # 2717.

Might as well do the rod bearings while I'm in there. Already getting a pretty good front suspension overhaul. Anyone want a pair of Tokikos that are mushy? Don't have the original owner's receipts which are required for warranty exchange.

BTW, does anyone have any of the ATX rebuild tools available? Stuff like the holding fixture, dial indicator, press, and band adjustment tools. If so, let me know.

When I did my motor swap I replaced my tranny mount (my other ones were only 20k old). I bought the Anchor mount and also purchased a Ford tranny mount. I held them both in my hand and the Ford mount seemed to me to be superior to the Anchor one - it seemed to be more stable and constructed a bit better. So, I returned the Anchor one....that is my .02

The Anchor mounts have arrived.

Visually, they look correct. Have a pretty decent heft to them, don't look cheap at all.

Probably be a week or two before they get installed. Will let you know...

Picked up a new project just before Christmas - 94 ATX.

The 89 is a bit long in the tooth. Wifey wants a car that doesn't make her feel like Jeff Foxworthy's relatives when we show up in it.. Her Contour isn't very comfy for me due to my height.
