What's the difference, besides the outrageous price gouging! Are they handmade by royalty or what?

i think they are expensive in small part because of the complicated boot, and most of it because they aren't like stangs where there are thousands of sets sold every month. the wires are diffent length, i think an inch or two, they will both fit either engine, just the right ones fit better.

There is a slight length difference in a few of the wires, but not nearly enough to justify the price gap between the two. Supply and demand. Supply and demand.

why don't they just make all ATX wires, if it's only an inch or two difference? That would lower the price substancially since only 1 process would have to be used to manufacture the wires.

theoretically yes, practically, no. It's no problem to use the ATX wires on an MTX, but the ATX wires are an inch or two longer, so you may end up having wires that are too short.

This is what I don't get - supply & demand, right? They only made about 5,000 more MTX's! If there's about 45,000 MTX's & 40,000 ATX's out there, I just don't understand the huge difference.

I've also been told it IS possible to use MTX wires, but I have never personally seen it done.

It's an electrical part so I don't think I can return them, but then again I don't want to pay extra if I don't have to.

Has anyone tried to use the MTX wires on an ATX?
