Does anyone know where I can get some new front motor mounts for my 94 ATX SHO for cheap?

Im currently working on "remanufactured" stock full urethane mounts for the MTX. Results shall be posted in a week or two.
If all goes well, and the interest is there, I might be working on the same for the ATX![]()
Axianator said:Actually, AutoZone and RockAuto both carry (the same) ATX mounts:
ANCHOR # 2967 (front) - $91.99 at AutoZone, $104.79 at RockAuto
ANCHOR # 2968 (rear) - $101.99 at AutoZone, $115.79 at RockAuto
ANCHOR # 2717 (tranny) - $48.99 at AutoZone, $26.79 at RockAuto
(prices are current via the web as of Wednesday, 10/27/04 at 08:00PM CDT)
Unfortunately, I was unaware of the fact that AutoZone carried all of the LLT-warrantied ATX Anchor mounts, so I was stuck with purchasing a set of new Pioneer ATX mounts (with only a one-year warranty) from O'Reilly's a few weeks ago. Granted, I was able to get out the door for about $139 when it was said and done; however, I still would have preferred the slightly-better quality (and longer warranty) of the Anchor mounts.
Regardless of the above fact, just about any new set of mounts will make a big difference in the ride and handling characteristics of your ATX, SHO OFF. I replaced all of the engine mounts on my '95 ATX this past weekend (with 50k on the front mount and 145k on the tranny/rear mounts) and the difference was night and day. Not only did the engine/tranny "feel" tighter, but turn-in was improved, more power made it to the wheels and my KYB-induced front-end "pogo" was greatly reduced.
IMO, new mounts are an excellent maintenance item for any aging SHO - ATX or MTX.
While I don't have any personal, long-term experience with either brand, the Pioneer mounts that I picked up from O'Reilly's look to at least be on par with (if not better than) the OEM factory mounts that you would pick up from the stealership, FPN or SHOnut. Also, while I implied in my previous post that the Anchor mounts were of "better quality" than the Pioneer mounts, I had forgotten that our DFW-SHO club leader had had some bad luck with a few of the Anchor mounts in the past.SHOtimer said:Well, I stand corrected. Didn't know ATXers had aftermarket mounts available. Adam, do you think these are of better quality than Ford's mounts?
Two words - strut replacement.SHOtimer said:...So you get that pogo effect to eh? I'm considering cutting 1-1.5 coils off the front and either sticking some Motorcraft or Monroes in their....Do you have any plans to fix that?
