What would be the rough estimate for supercharging a stock SHO. Everyone always says "bring cash-a whole lot" and other cute sayings but what would a ball park estimate be??

depends on how properly you want to build it and how much boost you're willing to restrict yourself to. you can do a budget job for [relatively] cheap, or you can dump upwards of 15k or more to do it properly (varying degrees of "properly", dependant on your application)

You need to upgrade the chassis, suspension and brakes completely before thinking about a S/C kit. A lot of time and money tied up with all those mods before getting to the S/C part. The car will be almost undrivable without the supporting mods, so do all those first.

Supercharging alone (not upgrading suspension, brakes, or driveline), I would plan on about $4,000+ if done properly. You can hack something together for cheaper, however, if reliability is key, plan on spending money....

 Ditto ... well said. An old SHO saying "Gotta PAY if you gonna PLAY".

Don't even bother if you do not have any of the following: maintenance (can you say 60K), suspension, brakes and tires.
If none of these are in your foundation and budget, keep on planning.

I know this will sound funny, but there is a guy here that took a turbocharger, machined the parts to make it into a belt drive. Put it on a Jeep 4.0, guess it really screamed......for a while, until the bottom end went on the motor. Was running like 30 pounds of boost at 4000 rpm.
