Any mechanic recommendations in NYC?

Looking for a new mechanic intimate with SHOs. Anyone care to offer a suggestion?

Two issues:

1. Think rear head gasket is going
2. Engine misses & occasionally hard starting. Already changed coil pack (have 135k miles) and CPS.

Head Gasket is a big job.....

As far as the missing, I'd replace the plug wires if they are old and the spark plugs if you havn't already. That helped when my car was missing. Do you have oil in your spark plug wells?

I've honestly never seen a head gasket go on a SHO V6. Not to say it doesn't happen, but it's damn rare.

When's the last time you did a 60k? Hard starting could be a bad cam sensor (CID sensor) or a bad DIS module, among other things. How are your plug wells? Any oil in them?

Contrary to what my friends will tell you, I'm not a SHO mechanic, but I've seen and repaired enough on these cars to get you headed in the right direction.

I'm in Queens near LaGuardia airport, weekends are the best time to get a hold of me.
