Thnx to all those that emailed help in my search for proportioning valve assy....Further details at Meineke repair center ...say correct name for the part is Antiloc bundle tube assy'....Ford Dealer says part number 2C296 ....Located under Master Cyl...seems to be a metering block with lines attached...Anyone got a lead on where I can purchase this...Meineke is coming up
dead end on obsolete parts....and my nice 1994 SHO is undriveable, and unsaleable as well...yikes..!

I think post #13 explains the block construction, and it is not part of the kit.
If you need another block, you can contact someone like SV&HODan to get a used one, or you could have one machined.
Good luck on your fix.

So do you need the manifold that the brake line fittings thread into? Or the simple clamping block that just holds the assorted brake lines to the car? Maybe post a pic?

Yes..I need block [manifold] it is leaking...I can't see it too easily...Meineke says 5 port...two lines on top and three on bottom...BUT, the 2 top lines are part of the block assembly?

Try RockAuto under your car listing: ABS Hydraulic Unit, Raybestos ABS540056.
Have a look to see if that is what you are talking about.
If it is, I would try to fix the one you have as it has to come out at some point. Each port has a threaded insert that can detach from the solid body of the block.
You may want to wait for a clearout sale, as a new one is about $400.00 after you return your core.
This unit is in a variety of Lincolns as well.

Thnx again.....Rock auto was one of the first places tried...No good...Not much comes up in brakes...I just looked up, the Raybestos ABS540056 and
it appears to be a larger , active thing..,,this is passive..
Meineke says mine is a metal manifold block [perhaps some regulating inside] and has two top lines and 3 bottom [removable] lines...Very hard to
see in car...close to bottom of master Cyl...I was hoping some other , more available "bundle part" would be avail..Thinking Meineke feels same, but
not willing to buy [as a Guess it can work].....They say they are ready to fabricate the necessary lines....it's just this metering block that causes the grief...
Afraid they'll want me to have the car towed away soon....

** Just a footnote,,,,My ABS system appears to be OK...No ABS light, in case that helps anybody understand better.

Beside "Forum" at the top of this page is another category "Members". Touch that and on the right side of the screen see
"Find Member" and type in SV&HODan and you will see his contact info. Find the Information Tab, look down for Interact and select "Start a Conversation".

Those pre-bent stainless steel lines will save you money over having the boys bend you up the lines you need. If you are unwilling to fix the insert in the block you have, you will have to wait for another unit anyways, so it is not going to be any faster having them do it.

I think the second picture of Post #21 shows the part you are concerned about. It is the aluminum block that the hydraulic pump and motor sit on.
I had a unit that one of those brake line fitting inserts spun out of the aluminum block when I was removing the line (the insert was like a helicoil that was built in the block and contained the thread for the brake fitting).
I would look into that possibility, and the chance it can be repaired on the bench.

The black block under the master cylinder is just a plastic holder for the lines/fittings that join there - it contains 3 top female fittings and keeps these fittings from turning when you tighten the 3 fittings below. These 3 top female fittings/lines in the block that can be driven out the top with a pin punch from below. If you cut all the old lines off, you can do this on a bench, and then re-install the block in the car. Once the old lines are removed, you re-use the block, and we sell all 6 lines that go into the top and bottom of the block, including the female fittings. We also sell a complete line kit for the car. Check out our Brakes page.
