Another new SHO owner chimes in.

Howdy,

Die hard Ford fan here, first time on the SHO forums. Just picked up a new 2016 non PP SHO in Blue Jeans Metallic today to replace the wife's 2010 Flex Limited Ecoboost AWD.

After 126k miles with zero problems I was pretty well sold on the Ecoboost/AWD system in the Flex, but not needing the 7 passenger capability as much, my wife wanted a smaller car. We looked at the Fusion Sport, and the Taurus SHO. Hands down the SHO was the superior car. With similar options the price difference was only about $1500 more for the SHO. MSRP on the SHO was 45k, with rebates and negotiations, the pre-tax price on the SHO was 37k. Not the best deal, not the worst. The wife and I don't really care much for black or white for cars, so luckily the only SHO left in the state that fit the bill was only about 90 minutes away.

Looking forward to reading up on the boards here, as I see a tuner in our near future. I'll be splitting the fun budget between her new car and the new F450 Platinum I picked up this last April, so it may be a few months before I get the tuner. ( Truck needs a lift first!)

Welcome, ThreeBigFords, congrats on the new rides! Was the Flex one of the 3, or is there another one in your stable? Post some pics of all of them for sure. The first shot I think I saw of the Blue Jeans paint scheme was taken by a SHO convention-goer, it certainly delivers the goods!

As for the rest of the stable, we've always kept at least 3 big Fords in our driveway, hence the screen name....currently its the 2015 F450, 2016 SHO, and the ever present 78' F250 that's been in my family since new. View media item 133View media item 135

Recent departures from the driveway include the Wife's 03' 7.3 Excursion, my last truck the 03' 7.3 F350, and the 2010 Flex Ecoboost Limited. All were great vehicles and gave us many years of trouble free service.

Welcome! You are a lucky man...to have trouble free service with that many vehicles...I bleed blue but have always had some major issue with a majority of my Ford/Mercury vehicle's I have owned and/or leased over the past 20yrs and I take very good care of my vehicles...just unlucky I guess. Enjoy that SHO...very enjoyable vehicle....love dusting unsuspecting other "hot rods" on the street, highway, or interstate!

Man I forgot how high these things sit on the suspension! Lift kit for your truck and a drop kit for your SHO for sure! Welcome!!!
