Is the ATX's shift points controlled totally by input from sensors and PCM? Does its current programming tell the tranny how much pressure to have (to make shifts harder/smoother or quicker/slower)? I'm thinking I might have a sticky solenoid or something. When it's cold it shifts really firm and when it warms up it shifts normal (slushbox style, slow and smooth). What could cause this change in pressure, a bad solenoid or worn bands/clutches?

I seem to be having the same problem, but no slipping. It just seems to shift slower after it's warm. I have 3 tranny coolers too, so I'm thinking the VSS. Finger's crossed. I don't feel like buying ANOTHER performance tranny. frown

Mine is firm no matter warm or cold but notice a problem when driving very hard so i may go with another tranny cooler since the 93's blow in the tranny cooling department.

Between the sensors mentioned, I'm thinking it's just the factory programming. My '95 also acted the same way on the factory setup, that is, until I added Ted's LPM. thumbs_u
