This one should be easy but when I searched I got no definitive answer.
I got new A.R.P. bolts for the shosource flywheel and southbend clutch.
With new hardware do I even need to use locktite?
Does the flywheel need locktite? If so blue or red?
I know the pressure plate def. gets locktite but again red or blue?
I just don't want to end up kicking myself in the ass for using red
when it won't come apart.

I use red on the flywheel bolts and blue on pp bolts.

I learned the hard way not to use an impact to remove the factory bolts. I reused them and one of the heads broke off and I had to replace the clutch. It of course broke after five thousand miles. It knocked like a ***** then broke.

The splines fit the disk. But when I put the disk in place the tool doesn't hold it up.
It almost hit the floor once. Could be I got the wrong one w the clutch kit.

Ok. I owned an ATX for ten years before this MTX.
I feel like such a newb when it comes to this car.
It has been apart for like 6 months just waiting for me
to put it all back together. But that included, rod bearings
carrier cover seal and the rear main. Three things I never did
on my ATX and the flywheel and clutch.
Then the shosource y-pipe and Dynomax cat back
all just sitting in the basement.

I only use blue Loctite on the flywheel and pressure plate bolts. I don't like the red stuff 'cause it is sometimes almost impossible to break loose even when you want it to, and I have never had a bolt with blue come loose unintended.

I go by what Josh recommends on the clutch video...blue Loctite on both the flywheel bolts and the pressure plate bolts. New pressure plate bolts are recommended. You can reuse the flywheel bolts.

OK. Now it seems I am missing a bolt for the tranny. Does anyone have pics of where each bolt goes? My Chiltons lists 2.studs 3 bolts then it shows one more bolt. I only have five total that were removed. Is there a spot that is supposed to be skipped? It wouldn't be a problem if I had not taken the car apart in April.

This bolt is kind of hidden; could this be the one?

Thanks Bob. That pic is perfect. I have three bolts and two w/studs. I do have the two in the oil pan also. I have a dust shield and bolts on the way that I got from Kelvin. I knew one of the studs goes in the top the clamp for the p. steering hoses and I figured the other one holds the small metal L bracket the starter wires are connected to. The original owner did the clutch at 50k. Who ever was in there lost one bolt and the inspection shield. Cut the fender liner to gain access put the bolts back in the wrong spots etc! Also left a 15mm Blue Point ratcheting wrench. LOL
