I have 95 ATX. About a year ago I went to a well known custom exhaust place in my area wanting highflow cats installed. I already had dynamax mufflers. They told me they could delete a cat and just use one bigger cat instead of 2. I'm wondering if anyone has heard of any place doing this before and am I losing any power from this. I'll take pics if anyone wants to see it. If this an ok set up I'm going to leave it the way it is but I have to do the rod bearings soon so the y pipe has to come down anyways, so I might as well put something better up in its place.

Back Pressure?

I thought the reason they used two was because they needed a certain amount of back pressure. IDK I could be wrong but I would have thought they would have done that straight from the factory if they could have used only one.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

It owuld only work if the cat is properly sized. Also it needs to be close to the manifolds, so this would be interesting.

You know the Gen 3s have one cat after the two on the Y pipe. It flows well and works too.
