Alright guys my 93' Silver MTX will be here around late Feb early march and I am going to go crazy on it. An by crazy I mean not a daily driver and very expensive. I found the Fastbag airbag kit on Airbagit.com for 86-95 taurus's. It might be too expensive for some peoples blood but I love trowin money at this toy. I already have the intrax KYB combo but it sits too high for me and is unadjustable. I want to airbag this car bad! There was a guy in Maryland that had bagged his SHO and loved it. Drive it and keep it at any height you want. Park it and drop it to the floor.
Now like I said before I will not ever be driving this car as a daily driver again. But it will be an occasional driver. I finally got my Bondurant Motor, superchip, 75mm MAF and CAI, Catless y-pipe, full length SFC's, 69mm Throttle body, Southbend DXD clutch kit and fidenza flywheel, modified shift rod, tranny drain plug, and some more crap installed. I got some freshly painted 94-95 knuckles with new bearings pressed in them awaiting 13" cobra brakes. Anyways she's plenty fast enough for now so I'm going to focus on more show mods like the bags and shaved handles, and finishing my System with the new 2 din touch screen DVD by Kenwood, complete repaint and much more.

Now here is my question what else will need to be modified to make the air struts work? will I have to cut the Sway bar link tabs and weld them to the new strut housings? Anybody else done one of these kits? I have included the link to the site I found them on.

Pick one of the three fast kits and click select application. It only shows a generic strut image. I will contact the company soon to find out exact info but just trying to get a concensus of what you guys think. Oh and the current suspension is going on to my 91' plus that my mom is driving in Florida.

You might want to ask GroundPonders on the forum his SHO is bagged but used bags from a Ford car.

The airbag system will **** handeling so if that is a concern to you you should go with something else. You might want to check out Midwestsho's Coilover kit. It will be cheaper, allow you to get it lower and adjustable.

ive always wondered about airstruts on a taurus. ive seen some online with em done, mainly g3. ive been told that the airstruts from lincoln continentals will work, seeing as how they adapt taurus suspension when they get rid of airride. but i dont think the continental airstruts will hold under more spirited driving or playing with the bags with big lines and valves.
how will the airsuspension effect ride? i heard some people say it rides alot smoother when aired correctly and that its bouncy like coilovers when dropped all the way. some people i have heard switched back to coilovers after going to an airride setup, but these are on hondas, so it might be kinda the same and different at the same time. will the handeling be any worse than a stock SLO suspension?
i was thinkin about doing eibachs with some good struts, but i drive to downtown detroit everyday and there are some major potholes and dont want the car scrapeing everywhere in michigan like on steep driveways and in construction areas.

i once found a place that had taurus airstruts for $500 a pair. im not sure how they compare to these, but id want the toughest airbag possible to last a while. and do any of you know how its possible to hook up a system to do have tricks and have also independent manovering of bags? also how is there anyway to have a switch go to "prefered" set height? or do u just look at the amount of PSI per bag and determine if its where u want it that way?

maybe im a lil over my head

yes the continental airbags fit on the SHO's here is the catch the front fit with no problems, the rear you have to either exchange the mounts or drill new holes in the strut towers. the car rides like a lincoln Duh! when the car gets shut off it drops all the way down my SHO drops so muc that the k-frame touches the ground. if you want to go my way it will cost you about 300.00 for a setup that is with used lincoln bags and you doing all the work.
