air bag light is on

hello my air bag light is on, so I have removed the drivers side air bag and installed the 2 ohm otc resistor, it says to unplug the pass side connector but i finally found it but it is very hard to get at it, ant help on unplugging by feel, after that I was going to go about diagnosis, I have a factory manual, it happened while it was sitting, I'm suspicious that the fuse is gone in the module from time to time it screams on the lower pass side, also at times it repairs itself and the light goes out, 1994 vintage, I left the vehicle unattended for several weeks in very hot weather and it was after that I had the problems, turn signal switch failed at the same time, suspect the air bag problem started in the column but not sure, just want to get them unplugged before I start fishing around any helo on unplugging the pass side would be appreciated thanks in advance dave

iirc, you remove the screws that hold in the passenger bag and partly remove it to get to the connector. There are 2 or 3 screws on the bottom side as I recall that are accessed from the glove box opening.
