coolant or oil leak?Dr.Evil:
I wanted to try the leak stop stuff to try and stop my leak till I get the time to fix it, but worry that it will leave a mess of goop on every bottom end part. am I right or is that stuff safe to use?
Specifically what?SHOZ123:
Very good results.

coolant or oil leak?
If that stuff would help slow my oil consumption (I suspect I'm losing it past the rings) down then I might give it a try. What do you think? Isn't one of the ideas behind it that it will get rid of the carbon between the rings, thus freeing them and letting them seal better? Do you think at 154,000 miles my ring seal could be improved? Using about a quart of redline oil every 1000 miles.SHOZ123:
I just got done using the AUTO-RX in my oil although it is more of a one time treatment and not an additive. Very good results.
