Okay, I've searched and have found a lot of info, but not specifically for what I need. When I bought my sho (2 yrs ago) it didn't have a clutch on the AC compressor, and it had the short belt (to bypass the compressor). Should I just replace the clutch, or put on another compressor? I'm guessing that the clutch probably went bad so the guy just took it off and bypassed it. What do you guys think? Also, is there anything else I should check on the AC system? It's starting to get hot out!!! Thanks.

Well, first I would check to see if the system has any charge to it. That will give you a clue as to it's general condition. The compressor may just need a new coil, clutch, and the such and be golden. However, the compressor may have seized causing the problem you now have, which means the whole system needs to be gone through. Can you rotate the compressor?
