98 SHO Rough Idle

I have a 98 SHO with about 100,000 miles. At idle it runs real rough and almost stalls out. When I'm driving it runs great. Also no trouble codes yet.

I thought if it had a bad coil it would set off a code.

your best bet is to fix them all if one go's the other cant be far behind!

All you guys were right. Code P0306 Misfire in cylinder 6 just came up tonight as a pending code.

Actually.. it will set off a code.. just not the CEL. If you have a OBDII device that can check codes and pending codes, you will see it on there if it misses a lot it will definitely show up.

It just set a pending code tonight. Cylinder 6 needs a coil.

In case you didn't know, cylinder 6 is front bank, second from left.

Thanks. Actually I didn't know until now. I was gonna check in the morning and for some reason I just assumed it was in the back. I'm relieved its in the front though.

same problem here had chris from nesho replace 2 coil packs, but problem is still there, most likely fuel injector

Yeah, you are really fortunate there, very easy to replace.
