Sure. I would recommend Ford Taurus struts for a 2002. You could probably get a good price from the online Ford discount sellers like fastpartsnetwork or others.

I put kyb's in the front of mine and sensa tracs in the rear. The kyb's are very harsh and the sensa tracs feel like mush. I's use the motorcraft struts from the 2002 like every one says to. wish i had. But i get parts cheap from napa from my work.

My 97 is also ‘past’ due for struts.
In my area I can drive fast 50~110 mph almost all of the time without issue. The roads are relatively smooth but not always. There are many switchbacks and also smooth radius high speed turns in our farm to market roadways.
I mention all of this because I can feel and appreciate the struts tightening up at speed and when going into and out of some of these turns. I would hate to lose this quality but if the 2002 struts are really good then, because of cost and actually finding the sarc units, I would go in this direction.
Has anyone driven a low mileage sarc sho and a 2002 replacement sturt car…so that the comparison is more accurate?
That is, new vs new rather than worn out sarc vs new 2002 units.

If so, what say you?

You can unplug the worn SARC struts and get more miles out of them.
