Hey guys

I just picked up a 1994 ATX. The starter went bad on me. I would like to know if anyone has pictures or a good way of replacing the starter?

Thanks in advance for the replies and input.

First remove the negative battery cable from the battery.

Remove the two bolts holding the starter.

Remove the ground wire that pushes onto the stud on the starter

Remove the positive cable from the starter.

Remove the starter from the vehicle.

Repeat the above. Make sure everything goes back into the same place.

**I have personally found that it is easiest to reach the bolt almost behind the p/s cooler by using a long extension and universal attachment so that you can send it behind the cooler and onto the bolt.

The other bolt is very visible right next to the bottom of the oil pan behind the sub-frame cross member.
