80MM Maf questions/Problems

Ive had a rough/surging idle and surging when driving at higher rpms, feels like engine cuts in and out since Stage 2 kit when on. Tried reprogramming LPM, didnt help.

Today I disconnect MAF, and surging didnt exist and it idled smooth. Ran around town for 30 mins with unplugged and had no problems, even felt like power was smoother... Any ideas about this?

Maf bad? LPM needs reprogram??

I had to replace my IAC once the blower went on. Could be a bad MAF, but check the harness too - my "bad MAF" cost me $300 for a replacement (which it wasn't), plus fixing the harness (which it was). Luckily, someone bought the new MAF from me for my cost.

Is the harness the actual MAF plug... Cuz that was changed along with the speed sensor about 1 month ago...

When you disconnect the MAF and your check engine light comes on, the car is running in "limp" mode. If you have a problem, such as I did, then the car will feel much improved when in that mode. Have you run your codes?

I do get my check engine light on when the MAF is disconnected... and it does seem to run better... Although Im guessing pulling codes at this time wouldnt really do any good, cuz it gonna say something due to the fact my MAF is not connected... Im just wondering if my MAF is the problem, or the LPM controlling the MAF??

Why don't you plug it back in, clear your codes, drive it for 50 miles?, and then run your codes. Then you can get an idea of what it is. I think.?

Well I never threw any codes when it was plugged in, thats what baffled me... although I plugged it back in tonite, and seemed to have no problems yet... We will see what happens tommorow once again after it sits outside, and gets all cold all nite...
