Well im working on it right now guys... i will try to get pics up asap.
Im not sure if they would qualify as air spliters, but i can see them helping, in that area.
But let me explain this first.. these are just an example.... i am not a pro at this... i just got the idea.... now if Alex or Tim would like to take it, into their own hands, and get some C/F ones made, i say GO FOR IT!!!
And these are not "meant" to be what i am making them... but hey they work, without any modification at all.. but it wouldnt hurt to heat them up and get the right fitment, even though they are very close to were they need to be.... they look like a J but the bend is smoother.. and about in the middle they kick out forward... and the top has a lip on it the goes on the inside of the bumper. which makes the kick out look almost even with our "lip" that is allready there....
also, as for mounting, i figure 2 ways, 1) bolt/screw them in. wouldnt see the screws if they get flush mounted... 2) would be double sided tape. the stuff that lund/avs and others use to mount the fake hood scoops on the hood... i can vouch for the tape, it is very strong, and sticky. this would be my way of mounting them. but do as you please, or what makes you comfortable...
now as for were i got them..... they are off of my 96 Bronco... yes... a bronco... they are the 2 pieces that seperate the bumper (chrome bumper) from the body.... you can find them at any junkyard... but they might be hard to get to... i cant remeber. I took them off of mine with the chrome bumper off.... but they are mounted to the front, on their own piece of trim.... if i had a pic of a bronco i could sho you guys.... anwways...
they have the perfect bend to them, and fit the bumper almost perfectly.
and they almost fit the length perfectly.... from the split in our front bumper, to about half way down the side... now if you wanted to get creative with them, try to find 2 sets, and cut the other set, and run the stright part of the lip from the end of the first, to finish off the bumper.. as in go to the end of the bumper....
This is very hard to describe... and i hope you guys get the idea...
agian, i am not a pro at body mods, and it may look like **** to some of yall... but i think that it adds alittle something else.... which i like. its not too much, but enough....
If mounted the way they came off of the bronco, they drop down, approx. 1'' in the front and on the sides, almosty 2''....
again. if Tim or Alex would like a set of these to take and make a kit out of them out of C/F, all they need is a set from the j/y ...... not to hard to get a hold of.... and **** they can even improve on them a little, make them longer, and have them drop down more in the front... but im getting ahead of myself...
Anyways, i figured i pass this news on... im not into the whole body mods, but this is definitly going to be cool!!
I will post pics up ASAP! and as soon as i can get them on the internet....
hope yall find this as intresting as i do....
sorry if i skipped anything, i am excited about this.....
there yall go!!!
