ok.. i liked the way my 89 handled without the front sway bar connected except that at high speeds it's a bit unstable (loose) so i was thinking i want to go with a 22MM front bar. ok, but i have a 23mm bar already here. would it be worth swapping in the 23 or would that not really make a difference from the factory 24?? it's free so if it will help then i'll do it. anyone know the roll stiffness difference between the 22 and 23?

find a 20.6mm front sway bar, I didn't know they made 23mm front sways, I have a 23mm rear swaybar I believe, so I'm running the 20.6/23mm setup... which is pretty nice and nuetral without being too stiff and loosing some down-low performance. I use my swaybars to fine tune the chassis balance, and not get huge *** chunks of metal as an attempt to use those to reduce body lean(like most folks) If your really worried about body lean and too much oversteer at the limt get the Intrax/Koni/20.6-23mm sways setup if you don't want to run a big sway up front. I'm probably going to run Eibach/Tokico's on my car to limit negative camber and struts popping out because my car is a lift queen(its usually on a lift twice a week).

i already have Koni/intrax as well as front and rear strut tower braces. i have the factory 24/26 sway bar setup on the car now. i don't really have a problem with the rear bar, the only reason i didn't like the front was that it would pick up the inside tire during cornering. without it connected, it fixed that problem. but the big bar out back and no bar up front makes for some extreem oversteer if you're not careful. the 23mm front bar i'm refurring to it a stock 93 atx front bar. that's the numbers i found. haven't acctually messured myself

mine came with the 20.6 front and its a 1991 SLO, I got the what I believe is 23mm(measured with calipers, never really got a straight 23.00 reading but thats what I estimate it is) rear off a gen 2 sho, don't know what year.

there is a greater distance between 20 and 23 : 24 and 26, the 20.6 bar gives you better traction and if your not solely relying on swaybars to give you better handling then stock(which you aren't) its probably a real good setup.... I am happy with mine

there is a good chart about swaybars for Taurus I will find out for you and edit this post with the URL for you to check out.
