Ford couldn’t spring a few dollars to replace those hideous flower wheels for a model that attests to their success...just saying

I remember glancing at the 2019 order guide, and it looked the power sunshade and power tilt-telescope are missing for 2019. Seems to match on the site, too. 2018 shows both.,,

Seriously doubt they changed them for 2019. It would cost more to make the system changes on the assembly line than they’d save on the parts in the model year that’s left. The same reports of deleted items are out there on the Flex, and the content is still there. People have been saying on the Flex forum since late 2016 that the 17s and up don’t have heated rear seats because Ford removed reference to them in the literature, and I know they have them because I hit the switch in my wife’s by mistake before and got the hot ****. Lol

I wish mine didn’t have the shade. The stupid thing rattles when the bass hits hard and I’m too lazy to take the rear deck apart again.

I guess you'll have to buy a new one and tell us! Sounds like a good deal to me! (I won't finance it)

As for the shade, see if the noise goes away when open. Mine wasn't parking directly causing noise. The shade top is slotted and fits into a protrusion on the frame of the shade. The drivers side would park above the protrusion causing noise. All I had to do was pull out the shade, move it down and put it in the proper parked positon. No need to remove the parcel tray.

This was one of the things I diagnosed for the dealership took me a while to figure out WHY the shade was causing the noise.

Massage seats have been gone for a few years on the Taurus.

I just looked at the dealer eSourceBook. For the 2019 Taurus, they list "manual tilt/telescoping wheel" as now standard on all models. Further, power tilt-telescoping steering wheel discontinued, and rear power sunshade listed also discontinued. FWIW, Shadow Black and White Gold are also gone, with Agate Black being new for 2019.

Double-checking the order guide confirms both the sunshade and power adjustable steering wheel deletions.

Ya know I really wouldn’t mine manual steering wheel , it’s always set in the same position anyway I never move it , a lot of this stuff in the cars is just more things to break. I’ve used my sunshade twice I think. Never had a car with one before and managed all these yrs. just get your back window tinted a lil. I’ve had a few Lincoln town cars with the electric closing trunk yes they never broke but just not necessary ( what if it did ). Massage seats were ok In my limited Taurus but I don’t miss them. My wife’s my massager. Ha ! It just gets me aggravated because they last few cars I’ve bought are the ones that are used all the time. The towncars are all used for livery services , taxi , chauffeurs etc... why cause RELIABILITY. Taurus same thing police forces all over use these, taxi company’s only s few still use themWHY because there good cars. Then ford discontinues both models. WTH ! It’s really sad.

I do use the sunshade more than I thought I would....but really like the power till-telescoping wheel. Between that and the seat moving back makes it much easier for me to get in and out of the car...
