Ive tried to get allignment done today, and I was told that with -2.3* camber on the left front and -1.9 on the right front, it will be impossible without replacing struts. Stock ones got 100K miles on them... Factory specs for front camber allignment are 0.1 to -1.1. Is it true that I have to get new struts or they are just tryin to rip me off? My rear allignment is better, its -1.3 for left which fits factory range of -0.2 and -1.6 and right one is off only by -0.2*, at -1.8? I really gotta do so much other stuff to the car before I can get new struts. So what do you guys think? Any opinions are greatly appreciated.

Struts are not going to raise your car to raise your camber its the springs that sag and cause lower camber. And they should beable to fix the front by removing the tac welds and moving the upper strut plates outward.
I do think that your going to have alot of tire ware with that camber. I see alot of inside ware and I am at about -.8-1.0 on the front.

Yeah they told me exactly same thing, but they want $70 per each side plus the price for allignment. I dont know if its worth it? How long do u think those struts gunna last? If they cud last atleast another 10-15K miles I'd be happy. I've drove many cars with over 150K on stock struts, some cars with under 100K were super soft, and handled terribly, but my SHO isnt that bad, I had it at 110 mph and it still felt confident. If i went 130-140 on old stuts then it could prolly cause a problem. Thanks for replyin btw

go to sears. Although with -2.xx of camber, you're only going to see maybe .7 degrees of adjustment. Something is bent in the front end, or the springs are broken, severely sagging, etc. Either way, the numbers you got just aren't right. If they were highly uneven numbers, say -2 on the left and 0 on the right I'd think the subframe was shifted but you have relatively equal numbers. I think you're going to be needing to look at new springs in the near future, because a spring job now will be cheaper than tires later.

Hmmm I dont think that my springs are shot. If I do that job at Tire Kingdom they are goin to give me a 1 year warranty on allignment. Its got new control arms as well, btw. The guy said didnt say nothin about my springs, he just said that i need new struts. I can get a set of KYB's for around $250. Can anybody explain how Koni inserts work? I can get a set of those for around same price. A set of intrax springs is $180+ tax. Man... that would be one nice package... Thos springs will drop stock SHO at 1.5" front and 1" rear. Is that gunna mess up my allignment even more?
