If anyone can supply me with places that carry struts for gen I SHOs either OEM or better that would be great. Friend needs to replace his struts, was dianosed as needing new struts (had a nice loud clunking noise everytime the suspension moved from the driver's side front)

You might try SHO Nut. I'm sure they'd have better struts for use, but if that's not an issue Murray's and most other auto supply stores will have them.

Just beware that he may need additional hardware for installation if it was making racket like you describe.

Sway bar end links, check inner and outer tie rods. Definately get those trolls and gnomes checked out for sure. They tend to make quite a racket when they aren't lubed properly. Big squealing sound from what I've heard from others...of course I wouldn't know personally.
