I just picked up a 1991 SHO gold tan interior, pretty solid for an Illinois car. Guy said it had 148000 but the kid didn't know that it lacked a 100,000 mile indicator on the odometer. Reads more like 14,800 miles, so at least 1 rollover on her. She is a little hard to start long winded but catches, been sitting awhile ordered new shifter bushings as the factory stuff is no longer useful. going to get her back on the road. Doing the timing belt is gonna be fun. So recommendations on a belt would be nice.

Thanks will post pics soon

Welcome to SHOforum, Brando! Don't know if you are to be congratulated or committed :D As far as timing belts go, I believe you can still get Cloyes, Dayco, and maybe Gates brands. I went with Cloyes when it came time for my SHOs. The important thing is to make sure they are marked correctly for the 3.0 engine.

Any pics to share of the SHO? Don't remember a "gold" color in the OEM lineup.

Welcome. IMHO, '91 is the most desirable year. Any of the name brand timing belts will do just fine; I happen to be running a Gates. I recommend doing a complete front 60K maintenance. You can find helpful walk through's and other maintenance information on this site, the Wikisho site, and my dropbox page https://www.dropbox.com/l/EeLRPOedZ8ULdnVBrTUGOo .

The gold color you are referring to is actually called Mocha Frost. It was only available on 1991 models.

I read somewhere that there were only 1500 or so that color made. Congrats and welcome to the forum
