As the title says, my 13 PP with 90k miles has a surge in any gear between 3-4k rpm when under moderate throttle, like passing a car at highway speeds. Under WOT, there is no issue at all. Under light throttle, there is no issue at all.

I monitored my boost gauge during the occurences and it looks like it jumps between 7 PSI and 10 PSI, back and forth, the whole time. I give it some more gas and then it builds to 16 PSI no problem; but I rarely need 16 PSI to pass someone or get out into traffic.

I have K&N CAI, Unleashed e30/93 tunes, sp 542 plugs, 3 bar.

I can hear the intake when it happens, it sounds like I am giving it gas and letting off

It was tuned for a month before the issues began happening. Any ideas?

Had similar symptoms on my 13 non PP. The fix was super easy and cheap! Get a can of MAP sensor cleaner (any of the chain auto parts stores should carry). Pull the MAP sensor and give it a good cleaning, being careful not to touch the sensor bulb. I also clean the throttle body intake sensor and the OAT sensor just upstream from the air filter. The MAP sensor and the throttle body inlet sensor tend to get covered with a light coating of oil and that will throw off the feedback loop. Car ran like new after cleaning sensors. Now I do it every time I rotate tires (every 6k). Hopefully this does the trick for ya!

Where is the throttle body inlet sensor? Any pics of the sensors u clean? Thanks
I don't have pics but it is literally right before the throttle body on the drivers side of the intake tube. Looks exactly like the one on top of the intake.

Yup, I was going to say the exact same thing. Might not be the issue, but it's worth doing because it's so easy and gets you back to "square 1". I clean the MAF/MAP on all my vehicles almost every oil change.

Even my 2016 completely bone-stock with only 15K miles on it showed a marked improvement in performance and had a slight surge. Sensor had a lot of oil on it (which reminds me, I gotta get it into the dealer to do that 2016/2017 TSB for oil consumption)

So the Tial blow off valves. The one replaces both of the stock ones? is it electronic and if not, will it throw engine codes?

Whats the pro's and con's between the Q and the QR?

What meth bung size is most common? (I assume I can seal it off until I decide to go meth injection).

I like it, definitely going to try and pick a kit up.

Yes the "Big" TIAL blow off valve (single) replaces both stock ones. It is actuated by vacuum. It shouldn't throw codes because the ECU for the stock ones will still think it is venting the excess boost in the tract, when TIAL BOV is.

Depends on your application. I never skimp on BOV's or Wastegates in any turbo application.

Pretty sure the meth bung size is on the hot pipe kits is most standard. Pretty sure you can ask Mike to send a plug or source a plug until you are ready to install the meth kit.

I wish you the best, I am definitely going to be picking up this kit down the road.

did cleaning it help any?...suddenly I too have that same issue, not real bad but noticeable
I had similar issues including the flashing wrench and odd transmission issues. Replaced the throttle body and it all went away.

Did you have any codes, Scott?
I didnt see any codes but the trans issue is still there. When downshifting around 20 mph it feels like a big thud in the drive line. Almost like the trans locks up the torque converter. I can hold the pedal to the floor and it shifts through all gears just fine, fluid is good. I hear this could be ptu, valve body or software. Not sure where to start. I do have an autel scan tool that shows me all kinds of live date but not sure what I'm looking for.
