Some of you need to infiltrate the National G8 Convention the second weekend of Sept. in Bettendorf, IA (Quad Cities) at the Casino! We will be there with a couple G8's & GTO's and maybe the "Brick"! Strip time at Cordova on Fri. Nite!!!!!!! Tim P. will hopefully be there again this year with his GXP.

G8 guys are "clones" of SHO guys.... Many of us had early SHO's too.

Party ON!!!!

I'm also a good goffer on installs etc.... Currently porting my Throttle body on G8 & cleaning up my VMS ported intake. May port my Brick's TB also. If I thought the intake could get a 10 HP gain with porting the EB intake, I might even work on it with my Dremmel tools.

Looks like you had a blast out there Mike... I wish I was not too far driving from Detroit (I swear that if it was less than 5 hours I'd have been there too!, but from Montreal it is at least 10 hours... not the same... harder to negociate with wifey and kids).
Few comments :
I am starting to dig in with your front grille, but still believe a small SHO emblem would accomplish the finish work for me... (BTW Crash, love how the front of your car looks... I might end up doing mine like yours... but certainly not this year... that is what I always say and I can't rarely wait lol)
The black roof is awesome!
Darelli : I like your rims, they are certainly lighter than stock 20's, but hey, those factory wheels are just the best looking among all! I wish they'd be lighter... But your car looks very nice too and we all know how fast it is... Still waiting to see the 11's from you... I bet you too lol!
They guys at LMS look very nice (hey Rick : I expect a «Thanks for the kind words» from you lol!
The guys are Mobsteel look... though!
Finally Mike, never wait for a better camera, your $hitty digital did a very good job! Thanks for sharing and taking the time to write that thread...

Oups, double post... I guess is time to go to bed... I might be dreaming of a nice looking SHO, the best looking one would be a blend of all those above :
Low and performant like Darelli's
A nice concept car two-tones like Mike's
The front grille of Crash
A the Livernois decal like Mike's and Rick's
With my exhaust (minus the droning... btw Mike, I have similar setup for exhaust... can you PM me to let me know if you added anything to diminish the unwanted resonating sound?)
Thanks all!
Bonne nuit...
BTW hope your car is not too much under water, I heard about inundations in Chicago... good luck to all our friends in Chicago!

Ummmm I "installed" chrome? Huh

What? Where? I assure you I did no such thing.....

If anything, I have slowly been deleting the chrome throughout the car.

Please clarify.

As far as my opinions on a black grille on your car goes.....

Dude, seriously, it's your ride. Do with it what you will.

It all depends on what type of theme you're gonna ultimately roll with....

Is it an all black grill?

I've seen some all white cars pull off black as a secondary color, mixed in with a very small splash of a 3rd color..... say red, orange, or yellow (like a small stripe, or sumthin) that'd look hot IMHO.

Don't go with any more than 3 colors though as it tends to get busy.

Stick with your baseline white from the factory, roll with a secondary color, then if you choose to, just to add a lil flare, pepper it with a suttle hint of a 3rd color somewhere :thumb:

I apologize for insinuating that your grill is chrome. It certainly is not black. What would you call the color of the mesh? Also, I have ACC, so will I don’t think I will be able to replace the lower left panel. I think having the all black grill would still hide this feature.

bpd1155 - I assume you have talked to them about a CUSTOM MESH Grille for my BRICK!!!!!

I'd be happy with anything that blends good with my "Strawberry Shortcake Look"... even polished aluminum or (god forbid) Chrome!

SICK write up!! SICK pics!!! Great job!

My black mobsteel upper/lower is being shipped as I write this! I'm REALLY getting that kid-before-xmas feel right now. Once I get it installed, I'll post some pictures.

I ordered up the black lower with the ACC cover. They have the molds for both without the ACC and with the ACC cover!

The black roof is KILLER Mike! I was wondering when you were going to get that done after hinting about it on other threads......

Your car is simply amazing and is the only SHO that would make me reconsider my black car. :salute: :omgsho:
