bpd:

You have at least my total support.

And FWIW, my wife of 50 years doesn't get it either.

Then again, she gets off and razzes on me when she gets some sort of award from her Bernina sewing and embroidery machine supplier.

Dang machines have cost me maybe $10K over the last 15 years but she really does know how to use them.

You have now motivated me to apply for my own certificate.

Did you have to order it from Ford? If so where and how much does it cost?

Bill, let me tell you, she doesn't get it at all. Not one fk'n iota. Try'n to explain car things to her is like talking to a freak'n brick wall.

Constant arguements too I might add when it comes to car expenditures. But I had to laugh when you divulged about the sewing thing..... bwahahaha :laugh_ti:

I guess we all have our vices in life. Ours happen to be our cars. Check the info below for ordering info.........

$45.00 and you can order it from the link listed below. Along with your certificate comes a CD packed with all sorts of other goodies you can purchase, as well as a very detailed breakdown of various SHO's, colors, production #'s, options, etc etc......

Me personally, I thought it was cool as shyt..... :thumb: So here ya go my friend:

My wife has no concept also, but(after 38 years of my car insanity- her words) she has learned to look the other way. At least, as she says, its not other women.

didn't see that, but for $45.00? What a rip. They USED to do it for FREE.

They still do. You're thinking of the sheet you get from the Customer Research Center ([email protected]) showing what options you got, what date it was built, etc. That's all fine and well, but the information on that is often wrong (apparently my wife's 95 is a flex-fuel vehicle... who knew!)

What this thread refers to is different. These are certificates from the Ford Performance Group, who does their own independent research and gives you a much more exhaustively researched breakout of what cars came with which options for your year, along with a very pretty (if badly aligned) certificate suitable for framing. Like the one OP posted.

Here's where you go for those: http://tinyurl.com/2feaw7y

Hi All:

Mine was UPS shipped on Tuesday so I hope it arrives tomorrow or Friday.
I think mine was an early build so it could be fun for $45.

Kind of odd that it is coming from "Fordshow" as opposed to "FordSHO".

Just be glad you weren't one of the first people to order them when they first came out with them... Pay $45... wait... wait... wait... wait.. wait...

I think it took about 2-3 weeks to get the first batch in, but it was well worth the wait.

Certificate arrived today.

#424 of 7114
#104 of 2914 in Tuxedo Black

Other trivia that came with the certificate was an option and color breakdown.

% of vehicles equipped with:

Moonroof 96
Nav system 78
20" painted wheels 82
Multi contour Motion seats 66

Colors/%

Cinnamon 2.8
Red 21.3
White 14.9
Black 36.4
Green 5.1
Blue 4.2
Silver 15.0

Having been in that end of the car business for almost 30 years, I can tell you they are making money on these cars even at fairly low volumes for the Turbo versions. That is incredible *********** for very high dollar options on a vehicle that is classified as a US Make Sporty Sedan, not really a Luxury or even Near Luxury car.

Those of you that have Cinnamon cars have a rare bird indeed and those of us that have Black cars are more common riff raff I guess.

There was no line on that report for the Performance Package and I do not know if the 20" wheels line accounted for that. I will email them tonight to ask but will probably not hear until next week.

I also took the plunge and joined the SVT Owners Assocation only to find that the various Marks of the SHO are not considered SVT vehicles.

I will at least start a thread and hope to get some activity going there as well.
