Yes, Kirk IS an exceptional person; the community is very fortunate to have people like him involved with our blessed SHOs.

Those new springs truly make your car look so much better!! The stance is perfect. Nice job!! How much of a difference do you notice in road feel, handling, driveability? Let us know...

It looks great. I have the same color and looking to do something very similar soon. Waiting for Kirk to release his CAI so I can just drive up there and get it all done at once.

Awesome post and pics bro! I didn't know the H&R springs were dual rate. Thats gotta make for a nice ride for sure. Once again, Kirk steps up to the plate, swings, and hits a home run! :woo-hoo:

Yea yea yea, Kirks good with car stuff, and I'm happy with what He, Chris and Bab have done to my car, but what's important here is he brought some cases of Yeungling lager and Half and half.

Word is Kirk will be getting tips in CAI design from PhantomX and it will make 27hp and will be fantastic under the curve...

First off I never said I was going to design anything, nor did I try to build my own or say anything about any designs that are out there, I even said that it would probably only produce small gains for our application and that you wouldn't get big power out of it (again for our application) I simply offered some sound evidence that they can make power if done properly. Nothing more. So if your going to try and insult someone at least get your facts straight, apparently your lack of knowledge has made you insecure, and that's ok just don't project it on someone else that actually knows what there talking about.

I noticed that V in your sig, I have good friend who just purchased one, went to the track Sunday and it ran 12.41 stock, next mods are intake and tune. I'll post back and let ya know the improvements with just 2 simple mods.

Ahem........ wrong thread fellas. Go take your CAI debate elsewhere please & quit jack'n my thread. Thank you.

:boot:

Sorry that seems to happen a lot here...

Anyway car looks great, I'm very curious now that you've been driving it for a bit what your thoughts are on the ride quality over stock and a sound clip would be cool! Does it drone at all?

Oh and was yours a sport package or luxury?

NP Phantom. I understand & appreciate the CAI debate raging elsewhere other than here. Thank you in advance. :thankyou:

Ride quality IMO seems to be slightly better than OEM. The H&R set up are "dual rate" springs. The little bit of driving I have done thus far with 'em in, it seems to handle curves better and handles better under full/hard acceleration.

I will try my best to obtain a video clip for the exhaust sound. Ofcourse this might entail me illiciting my tenage daughter to help out, but then again she's at that age where cars aren't cool to her, and neither is hanging around with Dad. Bwahahahaha. Kids. Gotta love 'em.

There seems to be a lil bit of drone around 50MPH, but nothing to obscene. I really REALLY like the sound of it. Remember, I'm coming from a heavily modified V8 HEMI Charger, so loud exhaust, cam lope, etc.... is customary for me.

Finally, as Kirk pointed out to me several times, mine is NOT the "12-S" pkg (perf pkg). So ummm, yea. Oh well. IDK at the time that was available actually.

Haven't gone in for an alignment as of yet. Going to wait about a week or so before I do. I want to make sure the springs "settle-in" before doing so.

It was suggested to me to ask for both a print out of before/after as the front cannot be tweaked or adjusted.

I'll keep ya posted on that as time passes along. ;)

It looks like only the fronts are dual rate springs though. That's awesome that they ride good for ya. That's another plus to lowering mine, even though the lowered vehicles I have now, and have owned, have always rode like crap after lowering.

And you shouldn't need to wait a week or longer to "settle" in a set of springs. Couple days and you should be fine. I'm also curious to see how far these springs put the factory alignment out. It was always a SOB to get the Gen 1, 2, 3s back within specs. Keep us posted bro.:thankyou:

It's good to hear the ride quality doesn't go to $hit. I'm curious about the Eibach kit, the drop is a bit less maybe not throwing the alignment out so bad. I've used Eibach's in everything of mine, always wanted to try H&R. Maybe I'll be different and order the Eibach kit and we can do some comparisons.

Is that Exhaust going to be available for sale at all or was that just a one off for you? I've been considering a one off as well but I'm paranoid of the "drone"

I bought the x-pipe only (eliminates the third cat) from Kirk using the stock mufflers and the sound improves (not as much as complete system), but NO drone. I have to take customers out in this, so that was important for me.

By the way Kirk does sell the complete system.

So... whose Magnetic Grey Pontiac G8 is behind the SHO???

That's Tim Pavlik's GXP. He had it at the Convention, and ran it at Waterford Hills.

He showed me a few timeslips in Dearborn from his only dragstrip trip. Pure stock, he had a few 12.90s. I forget the trap speeds.

There's a side shot of it in this thread:

Shows the CTS-V wheels Tim put on it.

I really love the sound of the new exhaust as well. Sounds nice and throaty and has a really great rumble to it.

Yes yes............. I will attempt to post a video/sound clip of it when time permits.

Sorry for the temporary Hi-jacking about G8 GXP////

Thats a pretty typical time for GXP. Friend has a 6 spd manual with Magnaflow system and Variram OTR CAI and he runs 12.80 with the A/S Goodyear RS-A's. Said that at the strip they have absolutely little traction.

Back On Thread... really like the lowering... Have H & R's on order for my EB Brick.
Will post a pix once installed. Will be interesting about ride quality...as I have XL (extra load) Max performance Conti Extreme DW's.
