    JBL amp power?

You can get an amp that puts out around 200w "real watts" for pretty cheap. I can guarantee you'd be much happier with that. If you're satisfied with 85 though more power to ya, you won't end up like me, having blown hundreds on stereo equipment and still unhappy. headbang

upgrading factory sub amp and sub?

I said it didn't put out any preamped RCA outs. Or at least I didn't see any RCA connectors when my friend and I installed his amp and sub on his 93 SHO. I know the speakers are all crossed over but that is to allow biamplification of the lows and highs. We took a signal off both rear speakers...

upgrading factory sub amp and sub?

First, don't apologize for not knowing. We've all gotta start somewhere. Basically amplifiers take input through RCA cables. Pretty much all aftermarket head units from the low end to the high end have RCA outputs at the back of the deck. Instead of running speaker wire, an unamplified signal...

upgrading factory sub amp and sub?

Does the amp have speaker level inputs? If not, you need a line-level adapter/line-output converter to go from the speaker level in to an RCA out to plug into the amp. Make sure you get a good one that won't generate any noise.

    6 days and counting...

Dude, don't worry about moving to Florida. I'd be extremely happy if I could go down there, up here in Canada it's freezing. Just because there isn't a SHO scene down there doesn't mean nobody down there drives SHOs. Get a good little group down there going for other Florida SHO owners.

    JBL amp power?

The sub amp is 85 watts RMS correct. I am honestly surprised though, stock doesn't really hit hard at all. You'd probably do a lot better even with a cheap little amp putting out around 200w.

    Gen III- Black seats avail?

Nope, only tan and grey were available for gen 3 interiors. However, if you're interested in doing a conversion the gen 4 Taurus 03+ has a "dark graphite" interior which is available with leather, if you wanted the seats...I believe the rear seats will swap into the gen 3. Then just get some...

    Tire suggestions needed...

Continental ContiExtremeContact is a great all season tire, and cheap too. Also the Falken Ziex series is good. The older ones had some noise issues but those seem to be cleared up by now.

WIll Gen4 Taurus SES wheels fit??

All Tauruses and Sables from 1986 up to 2004 have the same 5x108mm bolt pattern. All wheels are interchangable provided they can clear the brakes. There's a bunch of TCCA members running gen 4 wheels on gen 3s.

Advice-talking to warranty company about cam welds

Yeah this sure sounds scary with the cams. Aftermarket warranties are not to be trusted. I had one and just had so many problems with them denying basic claims because it was covered in a TSB or they felt was linked to a problem covered in a TSB. BS of course but I don't have the time to take...

    will flowmasters void a warranty?

Yeah, they may try to BS you but they can't deny your claim because of it. When I had engine trouble with my car, the dealer tried to say that "the mufflers on this car are of a performance type, that means it was driven very hard and we can't cover the engine." Well guess what, they did...

DynAudio System 340 3-Way Component Set INSTALLED :)

I currently have 6x9's in the rear which I'm not very fond of...I made a couple MDF rings to fit them in, but now when I put the rear deck back on the carpet sits on the woofer cone and makes it sound bad, so I have to keep it raised a little. What I am planning to do is make a custom rear deck...

Wiring Headunit into factory amps (w/ picture/diagram)

Some high end units don't put out a lot of power (i.e. Clarion) because most people buying them are running everything off an amplifier anyway. So it won't make the head unit bad or anything, just not good if you plan to run everything off the head.

    Amp and Sub ?'s

If you can find a US Acoustics amp for a decent price, go with it. They are fairly decent as well. A friend of mine has one, and it's held up great, I don't know anyone with a Profile amp though.

Wiring Headunit into factory amps (w/ picture/diagram)

I believe the JBL speakers have electronic crossovers on them, so it could be one pair for the woofer and one for the tweeter, but I could be wrong.

    Amp and Sub ?'s

If you can get an amp with speaker level inputs, you're laughing. Line level converters that you get at Best Buy or Walmart normally generate a little bit of line noise, unless you go to a stereo shop and drop about $40 for the Alpine one (totally worth it, if that's the way you have to go...

Wiring Headunit into factory amps (w/ picture/diagram)

I had an old Pioneer deck which did 20x4 + 70x1 sub channel. It was a really neat deck, but unfortunately it died on me...the internal amp burned out (I wonder why LOL).
