    Seized calipers twice now

    Possibility... The flexible brake lines (hoses) could be collapsed. You create enough pressure to push fluid past the blockage, but the caliper doesn’t have enough power to push fluid back past the blockage. Hence you get a seized caliper.

    Any loss of power you might feel will be minimal. A quality resonator, like Magnaflow, will quiet things down. Exactly how much and how is hard to say. Probably your best option at this point.

    Too bad the inside has a ‘cooked’ patina. The sun here is like the AZ desert. I’d be interested for $1k. Sitting outside for 20 years negates the low miles in my book. .

    If the pick up screen was blocked for a while there could be bearing damage. This would cause the low oil pressure. What I’d want to know is where did the silicone come from. Sounds like somebody used too much somewhere with the extra falling off and finding its way to the pickup screen...

    I showed this ad to a few automotive enthusiast friends. They know the old SHO Taurus after I owned a ‘92 for 15+ years. The first thing all of them said was “only 5k!(?)”. They cannot believe that hasn’t sold yet... Honestly I haven’t been this tempted since selling mine 6 years ago...
