    The bearings in your alternator may be going out. It will charge sometimes, and not others. Oh yeah, the alternator I had to buy was $170 after the core.

    There's a section at the end of the pipe that splits into a y shape. It breaks into two sections. One goes a short distance to the left. The other makes a 90 degree turn to the right. This was sawed off with a sawzall. Now it's a 2-1-1 instead of a 2-1-2.

    Well, I found out why my car went from running high 14's to mid 16's, lol. There was a gasket on the exhaust pipe before the first cat that was shot. Also, the super turbo mufflers were rusted all to hell. The muffler guy suggested that I lose the y-pipe and try a single. Very good...

    Manual z24's run mid-high 15's in the 1/4 mile. It's a driver's race with the Civic SI. On one of my runs, I hit 90mph, but I ran a 16.8. I'm trying to decide if I want to fix my SHO, or become involved in another platform. I love my SHO, but it just looks like it'll become a money pit...

    What bothers me is that a 15.6 is really slow. There are stock cavalier z24's and civic si's that run better times than that. A 1991 SHO should be able to hit low 15's at least. My car has been well-maintained, and it has pretty low miles.

    Here's what I ran in my SHO a few weeks ago. R/T: 1.272 60': 2.713 330: 7.255 1/8: 10.814 MPH: 69.30 1000: 13.89 1/4: 16.452 MPH: 88.4 I know my R/T sucks, but shouldn't my car be doing better than this anyway? I was hoping for at least a 15.2. I can't really launch it that well...
