    ccrm replaced--still no fuel pump

    No power to inertia switch before or after repalcement ccrm put in. Yes, it is the correct J code as the original. Thanks for your help. I'll keep looking for a bad ground. The car ran fine and had good power the day before it wouldn't start so I don't think it's a bad fuel pump problem? Greg

    New ford rings for 3.0---hone grit?

    Thanks for the responses! The rings are stock ones in Ford bags. The top ring has a silver edge which I'm not sure means. I can take them to a machinist to verify material. I know the hi-perf rings need a finer hone grit than iron rings. Greg

    Yes, I just want to very lightly hone the cylinders so the rings seat well. The 3 arm stone style then is ok for this? I just dind't know if the stock rings were iron or moly. Thanks, Greg

    There is no wear on the cylinder walls but I want to bottle hone the cylinders with the engine in the car. What grit hone do I get to use with the stock Ford rings? I was lucky enough to locate a set of the stock rings. Thanks in advance. Greg

    The timing belt looked fine and had proper tension...I don't see how it could jump a tooth. Can the heads be repaired or are they junk? Greg

    I'm helping a friend do work on a 91 plus model that he was driving on the freeway. The temp gauge went into the red zone and he pulled over right away. The coolant was bubbling after shut down. There was a coolant leak that he fixed the next day. He turnd the motor over with the spark plugs out...

    Need valve shims ASAP!

    The 4 intakes had 2675 shims in them with .23 clearance. They do seem unusally thick but I'm not sure why. The car has 121K miles on it and I assume it had its 60K done. Does anyone know why Ford no longer offers the shims? Seems like they are abandoning these cars. Greg

    The 225/55/16 Kuhmo works great, and dosn't bulge too bad on the slicer and the diamtere is very close to the 215/60. Greg

    I'm in the San Diego area and have done both the timing belt/water pump/cps and the valve adjustment. I have stock of about 100 shims and the valve adjustment tools, so it could be done right away. Greg
