    I'm not sure of the code. I have the ecu that came with the '90 engine; I was trying to make sure the non-egr and the egr ecu's were interchangeable before I plugged the '90 ecu into my car. I'll check the codes when I get home

    I installed a '90 3.0 w/o egr in my '92 w/egr and of course the check engine light is on. The codes it shows indicated low egr flow. Will installing the ecu from the '90 make the codes go away along with the light?

    p0171 is a vacuum leak on the front bank. Start the engine and spray brake cleaner around all the intake manifold gaskets you can get to. Get one of those stethoscope looking things and try to find a vacuum leak by listening for it. I've had numerous front and rear bank lean codes over the years...

    I strongly suggest picking up a wave trac diff.. Welding the diff is the bare minimum.

    FML... This keeps getting better and better. (Blown P/S pump)

    I've found that taking the intake off decreases the time to do anything with the p/s pump or pressure line. Once the intake is off, you can reach the pressure line easy as well as the back bolts for the pump.

    I'm actually in East Bethel. I have the intake and throttle body, but the MAF is still in the car. I have 1 intake w/egr and 1 w/o. Which one would you like? My sons' friends live in Champlain. P/m me your # and I'll see if he can drop it off.

    The engine that was in the car expired. Since the engine we bought had 150k, I elected to put new bearing in it before we put the engine back in. BTW, the bearing that were in there looked great for having 150k. I use 5w-30 right now as it still gets kind of chilly here in Minn.. The low light...
