Something interesting I found out (ATX Timing belt tensioner)

Wow I guess I'm luckier than I thought. A few years ago I had to change the water pump and cam seals, and that necessatitated the timing belt removal. I think that was maybe my 5th month of SHO ownership. My first timing belt change too :D Long story short, I just used a breaker-bar to move...

Gauging interest: HUGE bore butterflies (45mm) - Currently $190 shipped

As an eventuality, I may be interested. Not going to happen for me in the next month or two, though. I may have missed it, but I am a bit worried about our intake's inability to get enough air if we open them up too much. I guess a little extra probably won't hurt, but on a NA engine would there...

    SHO Source Catback Group Buy

My bad, I lied. I'll be able to complete payment early next week. Sorry, med bills came up :( Quick questions: can anyone tell me the diff between the flowmaster super 44 and the delta 40? Their site is useless. Also, how will the exhaust terminate? Tips? Straight out? Thanks.

You... you're not raising the voltage on the chip, are you? That would be a bad thing". Also, what windows are you actually using? I don't know anything about tweecer's software, but what you describe sounds like a faulty chip, faulty tweecer or you're overclocking the chip somehow. Do your...

    Combustion chamber volume

I figured that I was missing the piston, but I would have thought the ford numbers would have accounted for at least the headgasket. What you say makes perfect sense though, and that seems like a lot of space missing from their numbers.

    Combustion chamber volume

If the wikipedia page on compression ratio is to be believed, and their formula accurate, the combustion chamber volume should be 3.5857(roughly) cubic inches. Or 58.7591cc. That is assuming 3.6 stroke and 3.1 bore, neither of which I'm sure is right. Also, are we sure 9.8 is the stock...

    Motor building questions.

Hmmm, I imagine I could get custom gaskets from cometic but I haven't gotten a response from them yet :/ there is a company in texas that does custom copper gaskets too, but I forgot their name at the moment. I know that a stock motor can take the boost, and that its more cost effective but I...

    Motor building questions.

I'm getting set to build up a 3.2 and I had a few questions. First, I was thinking I could bore the thing out an extra millimeter or two. Anyone know how much is too much for the block to handle? Second, I figured that I could bump the compression up a smidge to 10.1:1 and be happy. I'm...

    RWD bellhouse Question

Thanks, that makes thing much clearer for me. I was sorta hoping "integral" just meant more bolts heh. I wouldn't be opposed to fabbing up some sort of crazy shift linkage, I didn't expect to be able to just drop a different engine/trannie combo in the car without a few creative solutions. Will...

    RWD bellhouse Question

Hey all, I tried doing a search but i'm blocked out of any tread that seems to come up with something. Anyway, the shotimes site said in regards to the T-5 conversion that a bellhousing from a '97 aerostar 5-speed. If wikipedia is to be believed, the aerostar from that year came with the...
