I think using the right tool for the job makes the most sense. I'm working all weekend, traveling during the week, and working again next weekend so it'll be a couple weeks until I can tear this thing down. not sure if they're using sealant or not, 99% sure they're not flipping the seal. I think he did leave the 2nd seal out a bit, but 3rd is in all the way. He's thinking maybe warped cam? strut rod help
Perfect! exactly what I need. I was thinking the nuts were replacements on the ends(?) Now I'm not so worried. As for the club meets, I work shift work and only get 2 weekends off a month, plus I live in I-falls. I'm hoping to look you guys up eventually though. Thanks again for the help.- FruedSHO

flashing check engine code
I've had the car in several times to have the codes read and as a result have replaced the TPS, DPFE, and tranny position sensor. The last time the codes were for the EGR and for an O2 sensor. My mechanic cleaned the EGR while he had the car and I replaced the DPFE but haven't had a chance to...- FruedSHO

flashing check engine code
Hey guys, I'm having a problem and am hoping for some help. When I start my SHO, it runs for a few minutes fine and then the check engine light flashes 3 times, the revs kick up from 1000 to 1500 for about 30 seconds and then the car dies. Help! Need advice on 1994 ATX
Just updating guys, I have spoken with my mech. and he's talking about putting in a salvage trans(just one option). Just so I know the facts, is the tranny in my SHO the same as in other Ford front drivers(reg. Taurus, Ford vans, ect...)? What do you guys think?- FruedSHO

Auto Trans problem...
Just had to jump in here, after reading this thread. This sounds similar to what happened to my ATX. The car drove perfectly fine until the tranny just stopped working while I was going up a hill. Thanks for advice guys. When I said "new", I meant remanufactured. I have one quote already from one outfit called geartrans and I have to send my old trans back to them. Theirs comes with all brand new internals. Judging from the prices you guys are floating me it'll probably be a wash whether...- FruedSHO
