rattle from top of the motor
more i look at it i think it might be a total loss. the tranny would be an easy fix, but the wobble in the balancer doesn't look good and the sound it makes is bad. i also have oil leaking onto the exhaust from somewhere. i am adding it up and would probably cost more to repair than i bought...- jboehm

i normally do my own work, but time has been in short supply. arlington would be a long drive for me to find out it will cost too much to fix :biggrin: . have to find someone locally or do it myself a little more info. it either doesn't make the sound at higher rpms or i can't hear it and...- jboehm

rattle from top of the motor
sounds like it is coming from the timing belt . maybe even the front bank belt gear .also it looks like the balancer has a wobble and is making noise. ran fine before i broke the tranny. once i fix the tranny i will need to address the engine problem. the belt tensioner has been replaced (...- jboehm
