1995 ATX: Hard shift + whining noise
Three days ago my 1995 ATX (213k miles) started behaving oddly. When I shift from P to D, the car goes to enter 1st gear and the whole car bumps and makes a hard noise. When I'm driving and slowing down to come to a stop, the shift from 2nd into 1st makes the same bump and hard noise...- blime

1995 ATX: Rough 1st gear shift + whining noise
3 days ago my 1995 ATX (213k miles) started shifting into 1st gear really hard. So when I shift from Park to Drive, as the car goes into 1st it bumps and makes a hard noise. When I'm in Drive and I'm coming to a stop, the shift from 2nd into 1st makes a noise and a slight bump. Everything...- blime
