    Sunroof or windshield leak?

I had a passenger with me one time after a heavy rain, took a corner and my car peed on her. Problem ended up being a kink in the rubber sun roof drain line behind the glove box, unkinked it and no more issues.

    2010 Squeal/Growl on hard acceleration

Ok, So I removed the noise maker and plugged the hole with an expanding plug as others have done, but the noise is still present. What is next on the list to check? I grabbed another video with the sound so there isn't an audio book playing:

    2010 Squeal/Growl on hard acceleration

Why, yes, the car is mostly stock (drivetrain is bone stock) so the noise maker is still there. I might see if I can remove it, and cobble something up to fix the massive boot leak caused when I remove it, and see if the noise is still present, Although I'm still gonna take it easy, at least...

    2010 Squeal/Growl on hard acceleration

I was merging onto the interstate today and under hard acceleration I got a noise I can only describe as a squeal/growl and the car fell on its face. At first I thought a charge pipe came loose (boost leak) or I lost another turbo (front turbo has about 15k miles on it, I think the rear is...

    Rear wheel bearing replacement

Hmm, looks like only the front wheel bearings are different between the PP and non-pp, but I cannot say for sure. You could try plugging your VIN into parts.ford.com get the Motorcraft part number and then cross-reference from there.

    Rear backup cam not available.

If you are having intermittent backup camera issues, check the seal where the cable goes into the Aluminum housing of the camera. On mine the seal was obviously broken and every time it rained my cam would flicker or be unavailable. I replaced the cam with one from eBay, which had the same...

    Would this fit our cars?

Thats not just a limited slip, that looks more like a Torsen differential. Also, 9.75in ? Thats the large F150 Axle, I bet this is a mislabeled fitment guide. Seems the description is actually for the 913A477 https://www.summitracing.com/parts/dtl-913a477

Melling now has a High Volume Oil Pump for the 3.5L EcoBoost

I've had oil pressure issues, but I've got over 200k on the clock. HV pump wasn't out yet when I did mine, so I replaced it with OEM, I have not run a gauge on it since, maybe I'll give it a go to see what pressure the OEM pump is doing on a now 227k mile engine.

Just a heads up that Melling now has a high volume oil pump for the 3.5L Engines.

    Strut / Shock Suspension Codes

After some more research, it looks like these control arms are actually for the later model year cars, apparently they changed them and that's annoying because the OE control arms & bushings for the later model year cars are $250 a piece cheaper! Does anyone know if the parts are actually...

    Strut / Shock Suspension Codes

UGH, HOW HARD IS IT TO PUT THE NOTCH IN THE RIGHT PLACE! This is why people hate aftermarket parts... I don't know if this is a sign telling me to go OE or just to anger me in general...

    Strut / Shock Suspension Codes

It's got a lifetime warranty, so as long as it doesn't fail catastrophically, I suppose I wouldn't mind changing them out a couple times. I just can't bring myself to drop another grand on OE parts when I just dropped $700 into the Springs and Struts. I love the car overall, but this whole non...

    Strut / Shock Suspension Codes

I got home Thursday so I was hoping to finally get started on it this weekend. I looked into 'compressing' the springs with the weight of the car a while back and decided it is a no-go, so I ordered this...

    Transmission Rebuild & Upgrade

Mine is a 2010 so TC shouldn't be an issue, although the exploded diagram on fordparts.com shows 3 bolts for my VIN, hmm. I was figuring on buying a reman TC anyway, $270 from Ford unless anyone knows of a lower cost or otherwise better option.

    Brake & Rotor Replacement Parts

If you are concerned about the appearance of the non friction surfaces of your rotors, you should look into coated rotors. I've had mine for 3 years in Ohio, and the rotors are still clean. Also, I've used the motive products bleeder on several vehicles, works great.

    Timing cover access

I've done it twice in chassis, it's really not that bad, yes I got some silicone on one of the VCT solenoid bodies, but it wiped right off, and I haven't noticed any front cover leaks.

    Rack and Pinion replacement/help

What year is your SHO? By bushing, do they mean the rubber isolators where the rack mounts to the subframe? 'Cause for my 2010 those are like $70 (there is an upper and a lower, each are about $35) where a steering gear is over $1000. (see #3 & #4 here...

    Strut / Shock Suspension Codes

Well I ended up canceling my order with Tasca and ordered from Ford. Parts from Ford were delivered the next day, which is odd since the dealer said it would take 3 days, but I guess they drop shipped them from the Ford Parts warehouse. Tasca was extremely apologetic and with the whole global...

    2010 Timing Chain

Ford changed the spec for the 3.5L EcoBoost in later year cars, supposedly because the 5w-20 wasn't holding up to the heat produced by the turbos. I run 5w-30 at the recommendation of Brian from "BSG Automotive" (formerly Fordtechmakuloco)
