My catch can doesn't have a VTA breather, I've seen models that do but mine has a bolt where one could go. I figure once the pcv oil separator comes I ill do a thorough check of all the systems. The IC side is mostly dry and the front valve cover vent is bone dry, it's just coming from the pcv side.

That narrows it down to that specific PCV side. If crankcase pressure was high your front valve cover would never be dry. I’ll bet it’s the catch can. Because even if the baffling of the cover failed somehow that shouldn’t matter if you have a catch can.

Ya know I cleaned the can while trying to resolve this and I could've sworn there was some kind of media in the baffle. Figured that'd be dumb and moved on. I'll try reinstalling the factory hose straight from pcv valve to intake and see if keeps huffing oil. Planned on returning it to stock for its tour of dealers next week so if that solves the issue it's a win win lol

Well it's not the catch can, swapped the old hose in and back to a fog out the tailpipes. New oil seperator came in today, swapped it on and problem is fixed along with rough idle issue. Meaning trans mounts aren't bad at all (I ended up checking, tight as a drum) honestly other than the occasional steering code and the weird noise while cruising the cars good now. But I closed the deal on my Lincoln so she's going up river.

2008 Town Car that has only a mild to-do list to be where I want it but otherwise needs nothing. Elderly owned (big surprise) and is unmolested and in amazing shape for 18 years old. Not quite a survivor at 140k with some wear spots in the carpet and a handful of coffee stains, but some in depth cleaning and a couple trips to the pick n pull and she'll be good as new.

Fun fact, she weighs 5lbs more than the SHO lol. Mods already on the bench include a tune, 2008 Mustang GT wheels, and a back up camera. Near future will be tires, tint, and soon after that exhaust and springs.

She was bought from a veteran who's father owned the car and all of the proceeds went to a veteran non-profit, I was happy to pay to end of the value for this car for the cause. I'll miss my SHO, the test rip tonight assured that, but my next chapter is a little more simple and a lot more relaxed.

Nice! 4.6L? Just make sure the timing chain guides aren't nuked. Going from my SHO to the Merc has been a complete handful. However, stepping back in time with the truck really makes me appreciate the simplicity of older vehicles.

4.6, so quiet I can't hear it running over the ac blower motor. Still going to do the timing chains around 150k just to stay on top of it all. I was thrilled to do my first brake stand in years. She was a one wheeler but broke both after I started rolling lol

I embrace touch screen aftermarket radios. It is really nice having that type of new tech in the truck.

You should go all out and get a vintage pioneer with the flip face and dolphin display.
My brother has that one in the "Premier" line up, big car audio guy back in the day but since he still uses it 25 years later I don't think he'll part with it. Couple fosgate 12s in the back with pioneer mids and head unit, over shot 2008 by about 4 years but those were better times lol.

I just want android auto for nav and music mainly, I can work around the nav part and get a TOM TOM and go bt tx lol

Well.....she's gone, as you all can see on this thread alone it's been a ride, but as aggravating as that car was I still already miss it. On to the next chapter, but I'll stick around here, help where I can, follow @SM105K s thread and continue living vicariously. Definitely the best car community I've been a part of so I won't be tossing that away. Thank you all for all the help over the past few years.

Hopefully you did alright on her. As they say, someone else’s problem now.

I’ve been eyeing a towncar myself. 2002 with a mind blowing 19,000 miles. The thing is like brand new and best of all, dark green. Only downfall is light, light tan interior. Oh and the price. Hahaha
I was stuck on black on black until I found this one and the "stone" interior, kinda tan, kinda gray, kinda brown, but the seats are gray.

I Couldn't do tan with standard issue gold, at that point I might as well buy sun blocker glasses and a casket. But the greens are gorgeous on these cars and not common at all.

I'll personally never do green again this is the second green car that's bitten me this hard so now it's a superstition of mine lol.

To answer the other question, no I did not do well, I did better than carvanas offer of $2400 and the Acura dealers offer of $4500 plus hanging up on me. But I think I could've gotten another grand out of her as a bottom line but the market is so scarce for these cars I couldn't sit on it too long, needed to pay back the Lincoln.

I returned it to sync 2 and yanked most of my goodies out of it, cleaned it up and on my last pull passed a cop at 90 in a 50. I was shooting for higher as a goodbye run but oh well. Dealer gave me $5500 and had a check ready, quick and almost painless. Dealer also gave me a beer afterwards so that helped.

If anyone wants a sync 3 set up already programmed for a taurus I have the APIM and all the stuff for a 13-15 swap less mounting brackets. Also have some other left overs. Pm me if interested, otherwise I'll throw it on eBay next week

Well, sad for you in a way. I don't want to jinx myself, but I've got almost 210K on mine and she still pulls hard.
Good luck with the Lincoln. My 03 GT has a 4.6 and I love driving it (only manual I have). You know they have a Lincoln with a 4 valve, Cobra motor. Only drawback is its front wheel drive.

You might be on to something there. Prior to my first SHO I bought a 2013 MKS in gem green. Lasted about two months till the dealer bought it back. The trunk leaked and after them twice not figuring out why they gave up and took it back.
