so I had to create a new thread for this. From what ive seen the Tommy grille was the only decent thing out there and they were charging wayyyyy too much for it. Ive been searching and searching online havent found anything looks remotely attractive or that i would feel is an upgrade over the stock one on my 2013. I just spoke to the to one of the main guys over at T-rex grilles and they would be willing to do a one time run on some custom grilles if we can get 25 confirmed orders. the grille would be similar to the photo below and cost would be around 430.00 for upper and lower pieces combined. They would leave the Trex logo off the front and it will be made specifically for the SHO. All who are interested please respond. thanks

Pardon my ignorance, but what would be different from the 2013 grill other than black instead of chrome? You can plastidip or have it powder coated black for cheaper.

I guess I'm still not seeing much of a difference. Would that lower grille go all the way across like in the picture, covering the plastic (or possibly removing the plastic)? Or would it still be limited to the area outlined in chrome on the OEM?

Hard for me to tell what's the difference when comparing the Fusion grille to the Taurus grille. Taking the shape differences out of play, I see the same black mesh grille as on the OEM. Only major difference (that I see anyways) is the black outline.

to me personally the cosmetic of the grille is much different. your removing the ford emblem off the front making it more seamless. plus the grille its self is more of a finer mesh. if possible, the lower piece would stretch all the way across replacing all of the plastic inserts. i also like the black trim a lot better than chrome but to each his own

The plastic pieces on the ends of the lower grille bother me. Looks like there's supposed to be something that goes there, but didn't get it. I'm wondering what to do about it without replacing the whole thing.

I was googling to see where you could pickup an SHO/Ecoboost emblem to put on a grille besides from the dealer. I came across this:
SHOEmblem.jpg

This came up on the TCCA forum, http://www.taurusclub.com/forum/119...es/167878-twin-turbo-over-ecoboost-badge.html from RedCandySHO. The picture is from the www.speedmediamarketing.com website. The thread is from almost 4 years ago and it doesn't say if they were actually produced. I was actually thinking of cutting off the Ecoboost bottom and using just the SHO part for the grille.
Back when I bought my '10, I was trying to get some interest in getting polo shirts made with this logo from Kirk:

It wasn't like I was trying to make money off it, I intended on making them available for cost, but couldn't get anyone interested.
And another item that actually made it to production was this ID tag. When/if I get my '15, I'm getting one made for it.

I couldn't find a better place to put it and ended putting on the passenger shock tower. The guy who makes it also makes them for the '03/'04 mach 1 and the BULLITT. I convinced him to make them for the SHO.

I did a quick job of removing the Ford badge from the stock grille and adding an SHO badge. I'm not really impressed. Maybe if I had a better SHO badge to work with and spent more time on it, it would look better.

I found a decent picture on here, the thread is "Mobsteel Taurus SHO" from back in '10. Looks like he took the SHO Ecoboost badge and cut off the Ecoboost like I was saying. He did it on the badge on the deck lid too. I checked the Mobsteel website and couldn't find SHO parts anymore.

Tommy Z bought out the Mobsteel design/mold. You can try there, but how good you luck will be at quality/product delivery ...

The stock grille on the '15 SHO is OK by me. I'd like to get a hold of some of that meshing though to replace those fugly plastic pieces on the bottom sides.

I haven't emailed him in 6 years, but I'll check it he's got this:

Never mind the script... it's just filler and not meant to be accurate.

I emailed the guy a couple/few days ago and haven't heard back yet. It didn't bounce back either. I'll keep you guys posted. How many would be interested in such an ID tag? Maybe if I tell him a bunch were, he would reply back. I'm not sure of all the logos he has available. Just the one above, the Gen 4, mach 1 and I believe the BULLITT.
