Engine Removal question
Hello, I'm driving a 255k 92 and the power steering rack is leaking like a sieve. I have decided to yank the motor and put a lower mileage SHO motor in it and i have it stripped down to just the motor/tranny. Clutch Cable just broke (Kinda URGENT)
Hello, I work 38 miles from home and i just broke a cable about 1/2 mile away from work. I'm wondering if anyone can answer a few questions regarding the clutch cable on a 92' MTX SHO ? First off, i saw the cable snapped in half .... It broke close to the carb butterfly thingie. Where...- vmax735

Ranger, I did and i very much appreciate your input. I'm actually debating whether or not i want to yank a 222k mile motor that runs great but is down on power and drinks oil like i drink coffee with a similiar motor fully rebuilt. Thanks for the detail ! More than I expected . You didn't mention stuff like replacing the crankshaft position sensor and isn't there a cam something that should get replaced ? What do you think this would set me back ? Doing this to the letter, with all the machining and such ? I'm teetering...- vmax735

Reset Battery Light
Hmmm, Thanks for the replies. I'm trying to rationalize what is happening. The system is charging and there is a plug that goes to the alternator. If the system wasn't charging i'm all over something wrong with the connection. What i'm fuzzy on is what specifically is causing the battery light...- vmax735
