I've read that Brown Bread is quite effective and, of course, priced better than Dynamat. If I'm not mistaken, SHOWYA used B-Quiet material (not sure which "model") with great results.
If it makes any difference, I'll be buying Brown Bread versus anything from Dynamat ...
Lookin' nice! Before the idea was nixed (by the little lady), I was going for a similar color scheme. I like it :thumb:
Not sure if you've sourced a product yet, but I found a site that may have what you're looking for: Leathermagic.com. Click on the "View Color Charts" button for...
I'll try to get a few shots of them tomorrow and post back.
I'm familiar with the concept :thumb: However, one doesn't normally associate corrosion with aluminum* ... that's why I had to ask ;)
Thanks for the feedback!
* They are made of aluminum aren't they?
I just bought an extra set of intake runners for the upcoming EH group buy. As soon as I opened the box I noticed the tops of the runners were rough, bumpy like rust under paint. But it can't be rust ... the runners are aluminum, right?
Anyway, I'll have to do a thourough cleaning of both...
Not to thread-jack, but where would one find replacement ECTs and temp senders? And what would one be looking for specifically (brands, model numbers, etc.)?
Well, I finally got a chance to install the new t-stat (returned the Napa part and got a Motorcraft stat as suggested) ... it took a while to get the metal pipe portion of the main line removed (the clamp on the hose above was jutting out just far enough to keep it from moving and it's such a...
Thanks for the ideas, Raptor! After reading through posts in this thread and a couple of others I decided I'd try the t-stat ... I'm betting the current one is the original "A" part. Anyway:
1. I'm not entirely sure what went into the double flush ... it was done at a shop. However, I do know...
I recently had a Clarion DXZ545MP (lowest in their ProAudio line) deck installed and the shop told me that the dash mounted controls could be made to work, but it would cost another $60 for the part. At the time I just wanted it installed, but I'll eventually go back for that.
BTW according...
*#$@!!!
Update: Got the car back yesterday (nearly 1 week later :madflame: ) ... mechanics at the Ford dealership ran it, tested compression and leakdown and, other than the Stop Leak, couldn't find anything wrong with it. So I had the system double flushed. Drove it home last night and the...
Well, by your reactions it doesn't sound like the HG ... which is very good. OTOH replacing a brand new radiator doesn't sound like much fun either.
I'm assuming the shop I took it to didn't do a complete flush/purge when they replaced the rad. in the first place ... which breaks my...
I'll spare y'all the sob story and give it to you in a nutshell:
200 miles from home the SHO decides to nearly overheat along the highway. Recognizing the signs of an impending heat spike, I pulled to the shoulder, let it cool (45mins or so), got it to the nearest shop where I was told it was...
I just found out yesterday (the hard way of course) that I may have a blown head gasket(s). I hope to find out for sure sometime tomorrow. Should it actually be the gasket(s) I'm going to look around for the best price / quality labor. I'll check my local shops to start with, but they tend to be...
SHOpar: Did you end up removing the lens from the body and cleaning the inside? I've been thinking of doing that (was going to this weekend, but ended up cleaning seats instead), but wasn't sure how easy it would be to put it all back together.
I bought a pristine DS headlamp from jelloslug...
Aw rats! If only it were held a week later! I'll be in the Portland area for the 4th ... anyway, I hope next year's venue is a little closer to home (northern Idaho) 'cause it sounds like a blast!
93nighthawk: How light (color) did the leather get? I started on the passenger seat last night (409 and a toothbrush) and it's getting pretty light ... more like beige versus mocha.
If it turns out that the 409 is bleaching the leather, is there a product that would add the color back in...
