Thanks guy,... You know, with all the trouble they had with those ATX transmissions, you think they would have used that digit to tell you which tweak in the gear box you got, eh? (snicker) That sounds about right, except you'd think that they would continue to use the same letter over...- TROG

VIN number issue...fresh post item!
I was doing a search for VIN number identification and found that nifty little search engine. However, it fails to show the 9'th position identification charecter. These tend to be the number 7,8 or 9. Example: IFA C P54 Y "7" PA 345043 Does anyone know what that 9'th position charector...- TROG

I here you on the spoiler. I'm not nuts about them either, but I absolutely hate the 92 "boxy" steering wheel and my wife loves this car as it is. My intention is to pull the engine and manual transmission for another project anyway. It's time to learn how to rebuild one of these as I'm in...- TROG

I am no wizard but if everything went at once I must agree. Clearly there is a conductivity problem in your electrical circuit. Have you tested for current going to the fuse terminal? Then check to make sure current is passing through the fuse to the other side. (I know that sounds silly, but...- TROG

Wow, welding cam shafts,...that's a scary concept. Can you buy after market cams for the 3.2 liter or are they just out of this universe for cost? I haven't checked mine and FORD dealerships have done all the work, so I better check mine soon. I've got 135k on the stock block. Thanks for...- TROG

Who's still using their OEM plug wires
Greetings, I got a little sticker shock when I hit 120k on my 1993 SHO/ATX. Oil was starting to ooze around the plugs, seals and gaskets, etc. and sure enough we replaced the plug wires and just about everything else on the engine too, (snicker!). My wife and I are a couple of old farts...- TROG

I know I'm going to make a fool of myself here, but my 1993 SHO misbehaved in a similar fashion to what your describing. You mentioned the car sat idle for two months. If weather conditions combined with a low fuel level in the tank linked up properly, you might just have some water in the...- TROG
