    Our cars do not come with a VSS, check your abs fuse if that is not blown it is most likely the abs module that needs replacement.

    the rattles that you hear are probably the front sway bar links. when they wear out they tend to clunk over every little bump that you hit.

    sounds familiar.. my friend had a 96 that blew a coolant hose. it overheated shut it off and it never fired back up. It turned over like yours slow but never would fire back up. I think it blew the headgasket but never really figured out the problem

    sounds like your alternator is on its way out. My friends car made a whine sound from the speakers when his alternator was dying. You should check how many volts the alt is putting out.

    just keep your fluid in your trans fresh. flush it about every 30k or so maybe even before that if you really want it to last. A Trans cooler would also help it greatly. It should hold up good
